Animal removal work is not without its risks, and every year there are a small number of cases of people who are injured or contract a disease from not having the right protective equipment or take the wrong steps to deal with pest animals. Having been serving the people of the city for over 10 years, our telephone team can give you advice on the steps that you can take safely yourself, as well as explaining how our trained technicians deal with an animal problem. Our technicians are available for quick callouts within 24 hours, and we can often arrange same day visits.
Being trained in all of the latest techniques and using the latest equipment, our technicians can identify the species of animal causing the problem, and plan the most effective and safe solution to the issue. We tailor our approach depending on the species, so while some species like squirrels are best dealt with by exclusion, other animals like raccoons may require a cage trap. We can also provide building grade repairs if the animals have caused any damage, and can also sanitize any area where the animals have been active to eliminate the risk of disease transmission to you or your family.

Groundhogs are known by different names such as woodchucks, whistle pigs, or marmots. Groundhogs are small animals with long sharp front teeth. These woodchucks cause utmost damage to the gardens and lawns. They can go deep down the ground and weaken the soil. Groundhogs also inflict much damage to livestock. Moreover, groundhogs being herbivores in nature feed on your plants. Thus, your plants and lawn are under extreme threats of being attacked by these small yet dangerous whistle pigs.
In order to get rid of groundhogs, you need to understand two basic things.
Firstly, try to identify what are the things that entice groundhogs to your gardens. Most things that attract them are fruits such as apple and melon. So, remove or cover them to prevent groundhogs from coming to your gardens.
Secondly, you have to look at their living habits. Often groundhogs come out of after winter den in February. Moreover, spring is their mating season. They are very active during the daytime. Hence, it is necessary to be aware of their habits.
Following remedies will serve you to run away groundhogs without causing damage to your gardens and groundhogs themselves.
Epsom Salts
If you want these small animals to leave, your lawns and gardens spread Epsom salt near the entrance and existence of groundhogs. In addition to this, if your plants are exposed to the danger of being eaten up by them, place a plate with the salt spread. Do it again after rain. This will help you chase them away.
Castor oil
This oil bears a nasty smell. It discourages groundhogs hanging around your garden. You need to pour the oil or spill it near the furrow holes of the groundhogs. When they are out for food, perform this activity; otherwise, groundhogs can go down to the den and remain immune.
Hair Clippings
Human hair Clippings can harrow groundhogs. The odor of human hair is not liked by them. You simply need to visit a local and put around the areas where whistle pigs frequently visit. Don't spread them in the air because it only works when put near their dwelling place.
Strong Unpleasant Scents
As groundhogs are strongly repellent to odors. Do arrange certain scents, and groundhogs will ultimately go packing. Garlic paste will do the job. Spread it around the burrows of groundhogs. They can't withstand its smell. Lavender is liked by us, but groundhogs are very sensitive to its smell. These tricks will work for you.
Soiled Kity litter
It smells more like a predator. Put around one of the den holes. It will cause them to escape from the other hole. It is because one den hole is left without being sprinkled. Thus, considering themselves under threats, groundhogs rush away.
Fun fact: Groundhogs belong to the squirrel family. They are known to whistle pigs for the sound they make.
